3 Baptisms this week :)

Hey family that is great that my letters got there, they got there pretty fast.  And hope that you liked them.  And yes as you can see we had our 3 baptisms of the 3 little girls, and just trying to work with their family now, their aunt and uncles are members and so they will be going to church with them and hope that they can stay active, we taught them really well that they have to keep going to church every week and they said they would.  And the Lord blessed us so much this week, we worked super hard and He blessed us with some really cool people to teach and with investigators in the chapel and with new investigators with baptismal date.  This week we have Andy, cleofés daughter.  She is so ready.  On saturday we went to the temple with the Callao Stake and we went with Cleofe so she could do some baptisms for the dead, and Andy wanted to go and see the temple so she even went and just waited in the waiting room while we went in,  I bought her a scripture case for her scriptures and she is super excited for her baptism.  So that is going to be awesome, she will be a great convert.  And we found this 19 year old girl that wants to get baptized also, she was listening to the elders in San Martin but then moved to my sector and still wants to get baptized and we found her and put a date with her for the 11th and then williams and Dina came to church yesterday so they are getting ready for the 18th and Abraham and Victoria are in Áncash right now getting the birth certificate so they also we be getting married and baptized this month, so it should be an awesome month.  A lot of work to do and to keep me busy.  And we will be knocking a lot of doors to try and find some more people who are prepared.  But thanks so much for all of your prayers. The Lord really answered all of our prayers this week and the week went by so fast it was crazy.  And on saturday going to the temple with cleofé and then 3 baptisms, you cant ask for more, so I am super happy with the work that we did this week.  And we will be working hard again this week to find some more people to teach.  I passed out all of your rings that you sent me mom and some more would be great, they love the rings, so please send me some more rings. BT and Brixston looked super happy, hope that all is well.  This week is the super bowl hope that you all enjoy watching the super bowl with out me.  :( :(  Hope all is well with work and that you all are living the Gospel. Funny story, this morning we got all ready and then I stuck my head out the window and saw the bus coming so we ran out of our apartment and to the bus stop and the bus came up to the stop all super fast and there was a ton of mud and the tired splashed all the mud all over us,it was lame, so right now I have mud spots on my white shirt, haha but o well it is life and the mission, just more experiences to remember.

This week we did something really nice for a lady of the ward, it is a widow and she has a special daughter that she has to take care of, so we went to her house and swept and mopped for her and she was talking
to us while we did it and she said that she was super sad because she didnt have enough money to buy an animal to have in her house, and so we have an investigator that sells ginneypigs, (Cuy) and so we went
and bought her 2 ginneypigs and we took them to her and she was so happy, she was like I am going to make them a little house so they have live in, it was so funny,  made my day.  Our zone this month
ended with 27 baptisms and so it was a good month for us.   Well hope all is well.  Just know that I love you all so much and hope that you are super excited to see me, because I cant wait to see all of you but
yes there is a lot for me to do before I go home.  Super stoked to see Machu Picchu.

Hey family!!!

Whoo hoo hey family how are you all doing.  I am doing great, are 3 investigators came to church yesterday again and so now they have their 2 attendances that they need to get baptized so they will be getting baptized this saturday so I am happy that I didnt go the whole month without a baptism.  And pretty excited about the baptism that we are going to have on the 4th of febuary also, her name is Andy, she is cleofés daughter and she will be a strong convert.  This saturday Cleofé is going to the temple to do baptisms with the callao stake, and I am pretty excited about that that she is already going to the temple and she is so awesome, she is so strong in the Gospel and I feel so humble and happy that the Lord helped us find her and Lander, by just a simple high five in the street a daughter of God is now going to the temple to do baptisms for the dead, HOW AWESOME, now that feels good as a missionary, that makes me forget all of the persecution that we go through as missionaries, it makes me just want to keep working super hard to find some more people so they can go to the temple also.  We walk throught the streets and people just yell at us and they swear at us if we knock their door.  It is crazy, me and elder sagastume have been talking about it alot this week because it was pretty strong this week, but I love it because it just means that good things are coming up for us.  But we have a lot of people to teach this week I am excited to tell you mom that we found a little kid named Williams, and his grandma wants us to baptize him, how cool is that, I told him that my moms last name is williams and he didnt believe me haha but we will keep teaching that family, and I have never taught so many families in all of my mission as I am now in this sector, it is awesome, but it is just hard for them to progress because of the place they at.  haha but we will keep working, there are a lot more people to baptize.  The mission is going super good for me.  I am just enjoying my last weeks here before I get back out in the real world, even though when I get back home I will feel the Spirit more in the streets than I do here, haha I really feel like when I walk in the streets here that I am walking in the pits o

f outer darkness and love it because I have to have my testimony of this work in my mind  always or you will fall as a missionary also.  My mission has changed me Spiritually so much, and it has been a boot camp for the rest of my whole life, now I feel ready to Endure to the End.  } Last monday we went to Minka, it is like a mall place, and we went into the market and thought I would just send you a picture of the piles and piles of rice they eat. haha I bet I have eaten more rice than all that in my whole mission it is crazy, and then the elders in my district, Elder Wright and Elder Mendoza, elder wright is the man, he is one of my good buds here.  and he found dr. Pepper and was super stoked.  They are in the same ward as me.  Thanks for all of the pictures, hope you had a good bday and tell Payton that I cant wait to see her. and hear her talk, and then lukas to get to know him.

Thanks sister you are the best, I am so excited for you, can you believe how blessed we are, seriously we don´t have one thing to complain about, we have it all.  I cant express how greatful I am for everything, the best family ever, with all our needs covered, with the best mom on earth, with a dad that has never thought twice about sharing with us, with the Gospel and the Lord with us always, I mean could it get any better....  Its hard to think so...  Keep resting because it sure won´t be fun to have that huge thing in front of you always hahah love ya sister. 
Well dad thanks for the update on football, I miss it with all my heart.  I hope all is going good with work pops, keep up the good work. 

Mom you look great!!!!!! with your two nephews, you are awesome mom.  Thanks for all of your support and for all of the letters, every wednesday I read the letters as I eat lunch in our pension.  Love you mom. 

Well tell everyone hi for me, and tell Cheryl thanks so much for the pictures again, I looked at all of her pictures again last night and tell her that I am so greatful for her time that she spent to get that ready for me, and greatful to see her family growing good.  And tell mike and sandi thanks for the money, that I am going to need it.  And aunt connie for all she does for me, tell her that I am so greatful and that she is the best, and that with the back pack for parker, I just have a back pack with two straps, but the mission gave us our back packs because they all want us to have the same one, so I never have had a choice on my back pack, i have always just used a two strap back pack, it just depends on where he goes on his mission, if he comes here to Perú just a two strap one will be great.  I am so happy that he is getting ready on the mission he is going to love it.  Even though it is the hardest thing I have ever done, it is awesome...  Words cant describe it.

Hey Family! HAPPY B DAY TOADS!!

Hey family another week has come and gone! Hope you have an awesome b day toads, just live it up, your gonna be 28, how do you feel about that? And it was another good week for us, we had 9 investigators in the chapel so that was good for us.  Thanks for all of your emails, it sounds like you guys are all doing super good.  Keep up the great work, and Arin that sounds like you had an awesome appointment at the doctors, I am super happy for you!  Mom that is exciting that you got your roof all done is it just black still?  That is crazy that Boston is getting home I remember when I went to his farewell haha.  Tell him congrats for me, haha.  Well this week is going to be great also, we are gonna work hard and we will be talking to everyone in the streets so they can learn more about this gospel.  But some of the things that happened to us this week is that we have had to give some blessing to some people that have bad spirits in them and so that was an experience for me, didnt feel super good as we did it but we did it and seems like she is progressing now and even came to church this sunday so that was exciting.  We are just still working away and trying to find even more people to teach in this heat here in lima, everyone is complaining about how hot it is and they always ask us how we do it in a shirt and tie, and we just say we just do it so you can learn more about our Heavenly Father.  The mission has been awesome, has taught me so much about how I need to study the Gospel everyday to keep my testimony up and now I feel so good to know what I believe because there are a lot of members that dont know what they believe, but we need to know so when that moment comes to defend the church we can do it.  Really this week was just a week of us in the street talking to everyone, teaching our investigators and this week will be the same thing.  I wrote you all letters this week and I will be sending the letters today so you can read a little bit about what I am doing here in the mission. Well I love you all very much, I am doing just fine here in Peru all is well and hope that you have a good Birthday tomorrow toads.  Well I will be working, love you all alot elder stauffer :)  Tell all the extended family that I love them also.

HEY FAM!! SORRY SO LATE!!

Hey family, how are you all doing?  Today we went up to Chosica and so we just got back and so that is why I am writing so late.  We had a great time, it was great to get out in nature and think about all that our Heavenly Father has created.  So it was good to get out of the area for a little bit but thanks for all of your emails, and for your support.  :)  I had a hard week again with our investigators not coming to church but still enjoyed the mission and trying to problem solve and we found some more cool people this week to teach and we will see if they can progress.  This week was stake conference and it was awesome, it was good to finally have an organized meeting.  An area seventy spoke it was pretty good.  And sister the area is still deciding on the chapel house if they are gonna take it or no.  They are asking way to much for it because they know that we are the mormons and that we can pay alot they say, but o well we will see what happens.  And man that is so awesome that Tebow is the man and that he is doing a good job and that they beat the steelers, that is just crazy to me.  Who do they play this week?  And how are the Jazz doing?  Me and Elder Sagastume are still working hard and trying to give it our all, and we keep finding more people but they dont want to progress so we are kinda in a dilema but we will find someone who will progress.  Cleofes daughter accepted a date for febuary so that is cool and then we found this mom and her daughter and they have a whole bunch of problems but they are listening to us.  Well right now it is blistering hot, sweating as I am writing this. 

 

So I sent 3 pictures, one of the waterfalls today in chosica and then the other of a lady walking to her house up by the waterfalls and then a jersey that tanner sent to me with a picture in it for christmas, that was awesome of him.  And so i need to send him something.  Tell Blake thanks for writing me and that Pres. Tyler doesnt want us to write anyone besides our family now, so tell him that I really appreciate his emails and to keep writing and that I will write him back through these emails.  But wish me luck this week, really all is well with me also, just here getting even closer to my Heavenly Father so when I get home I can keep strong in the Gospel, which I dont have a doubt of, because if I can make it through this mission in this part of the world I can make it through any temptations at home.  A missionary isnt free from temptations either, alot of missionaries fall..  I love all of you guys so much, and hope that you guys have a good week like I am going to have.  Love you all alot elder stauffer. 

Happy New Year!!! 2012

Hey family so thanks for your emails, just stoked that the Broncos made it into the playoffs and sweet that you got new seats mom it looks great from there.  Man I cant wait to be able to go to a jazz game and have a good time with ya mom..  Thanks fam for the support this week.  We had an okay week, just trying to find some more people to teach and it was kinda a hard week as far as the work goes because it was new years and everyone here was partying and so they really didnt wanna listen this week.  We changed times also in church, now we start at 8:30am and so it will be super hard for us to have people in the chapel but we had 3 this week and we started the sacrament meeting with 13 members there.  So that just kills me to be here and the people dont take the church seriously.  That is what I miss the most just being home in a strong ward and everyone magnifys their calling.  So mom just remember that, that it is super important what you are doing by attending ward counsil.  So keep up the good work.  But sounds like you are all pretty busy, we are too.  I am hoping to have a better week this week.  We always find a ton of new investigators but they cant progress because they just dont understand but we are hoping to find another person like Lander.  haha On new years it was just a regular days work for me, we worked all day knocking a ton of doors and then we came back to our room at 9 and elder Yamunaqué and elder Galán came over to our room for a little and then they went to their room and then we went to bed, and at 12 they all started with their fireworks and we didnt even get up , we just told each other happy new year and then went back to bed.  How bad is that? haha I am getting so old...  I feel like Arin and Devin now who go to bed so early and wake up early too.  I used to always give Arin a hard time but after my mission I know I wont be going to bed at 9 sister, that is pushing it.  

So thanks for helping me out with my application, what ever happened, pres tyler called me and said that he got it in.  Hope that it all works out, and also what happened with UTAH?  because you guys told me that they needed my classes that I took from high school something like that?  Thanks for your help.  

So this week we went to this one part of my sector that is super poor and as we knocked doors all the cows were walking by and we would be talking to the people and they would start to go to the bathroom and it was just really crazy, the first time in my whole mission that I have been contacting with all the cows just walking by, my sector is pretty sweet and it is just like the provinces.  haha but it was super good to get out and work because it makes the time go by fast.  Just trying to forget about time now, because I know that it will be here soon.. That is about it that happened to me this week.  O ya Cleofé brought her daughter to church with her so now we will try and get her baptized too, I think that we can do it, she is pretty cool.  And that was all that happened this week.  O ya I have fleas.  It is terrible, I cant sleep at night because they sit and bite me, man that is going to be nice, to just sleep in my nice bed. Wow it will be sweet.   

Goals for this year:  

1. Finish my mission strong

2. Go to school

3. Work

4. Find a wife hahaha hahaha

5. Be happy and love the Lord always. 

6. O ya and go back to the GYM.  I have such a desire to lift weights and golf it is incredible.
