Hey family sorry that it is late mom but this morning we had the meeting in another chapel,  we wanted to watch the preach my gospel dvds with all the missionaries and in the stake center they have a plasma screen so we changed things up a little bit on ya, sorry mom but just know that i said to everyone my mom is gonna kill me that i am not emailing her on time, haha but just know that everything is super good here in San Martin, we had a really good month, well better than they have ever had in this stake as far as baptisms.  We had 31 baptisms.  And the goal for the stake is 20 baptisms every month, so we got 11 more than they wanted haha so that is really good,and in the mission if you get 20 baptisms in a month president tyler is really happy, but with 31 he will be really happy with what we have done here, but now is where comes in the stress, how do we keep it going?  haha well Just pray for the zone so that we can find some new people to teach. Everything went well with our baptism this week, Gonzalo, this 15 year old kid, hah he is funny.  So that was a good month for us, 6 this month in our ward.  This week was just a week of visiting all of the areas with elder armijo, and tryin to make all of the baptisms sure, and it really worked out for us.  But more than anything we did a fast at the first of the month so that we could complete our goal, our goal was 30... the Lord heard our fast, thats faith, maybe we cant understand how he does it, but just as long as we see His hand in all things. But that is awesome that you are going to be in St George mom hope that you have a great time, in one year we will be able to go down, man before you know it it will all be over, but its going great, still making that tape for you  it is taking along time.  sorry. But mom i need new shoes, I thought that I would be able to make it for another year but there is just no way, and I would buy new shoes here but I dont wanna risk it, because I havent had one blister from the ecco shoes that we bought and so I have loved them, my feet havent hurt one time in my whole mission and so I need those ecco shoes again,  I hope that it isnt to much of a hastle.  And dont worry they wont steal them, because they havent opened any of my packages so you can be confident that they will get here. Just go there and ask them for ecco´s and dont get dressy eccos, ones that I can use for tracting, I think you remember my shoes that I got, they were black, and it had like a seem down the front of them. Just ones that I can go walk for another year in, they have been the best shoes ever. But both shoes have huge holes in the soles, and the other day I noticed that my feet got way wet, and it hit me, that water is getting in the bottom. hahah but hey one year ,  that is pretty good, and without not one blister.  I hope that you havent sent your box yet.

So in one of the elders baptisms this week that we went to it was a disastre, it was mind blowing.  but the members here are just so different they just dont get it haha but everything went good in the service until the

first lady got into the font and had a fobia of the water so she would not go under, she just didnt know how, and she was on her knees trying to fall backwards she was a really awkward lady, and then all the brothers  there were like screaming out in the baptism hey bend your knees, fall back, so she was getting baptized and all the guys here were yelling out, I was like are you serious?  well elder vera finally got her to go under and then the other 2 got baptized without a problem and then after the bishop started to share his testimony and for like 30 about who they should vote for on the tenth, because the 10th here is the president eleccions here.  So this time it doesnt fall on the conferences but the week after and that day, we cant work so we just visit members.  But I will watch conference in the stake center, and am so excited.  but the it was just a mess of a baptism but hey she got baptized.  hahah

well just wanna tell you all taht I have gotten your emails, and thank you so much for the support and thanks pops for updating me on the sports, and love you all , just gotta work hard this week to get some new  investigators now, we have baptized allhem haha love you all elder Stauffer  sorry again mom for being late.

ONE YEAR DOWN!!!

Hey fam,  how is everything going? everything is good here in peru, and I am sending you fotos of what i did on hump day, I called up my best friend in the mission, elder wayne and we went to minka, a mall in my zone and we went and ate pizza for our hump day, because he is from my group so he is zone leader too from my group so I called him and we went and ate dominos pizza, 2 for 1 that day  so we bought some pizza, and then the camel from aunt connie, had to take a picture of that on my hump day, it was a really good day.  and a better week for the zone, elder armijo and I had 3 baptisms this week and in our zone we had 12 baptisms and this week as a zone we are looking at about 15 more it should be, but we will see, so elder armijo and i have have 5 baptism in 2 weeks so that is pretty good you could say, but they are all just teenagers, we wanna find a family well I wanna find a family, but elder armijo doesnt wanna contact ever.  Hahah but yes mom I am still zone leader here in san Martin.  Yes i got my tape and it was absolutey awesome thanks for that, I have started my tape for all of you this week I started it on hump day and have almost talked on one whole side of the tape so far.  And ya mom that would be awesome if you would send me some cereal, and I can drink the milk here, I bought some capn crunch last week, but it is super expensive so send  me some that would be great, and face wash, I am  plain out of face wash.  Beef jerky, peanut butter, rice krispy, and thanks for everything. Everything is going really good here in the xone , everyone is alot more excited for the success that we are having, and man this week we had to clean this bridge, the stake was havinjg a service project for the community and man  we were the only ones there, and they had us go and clean a bridge, it was horrible, the bridge was so dirty it it was a mess of a activity.  K go0nna send this email and get starteed on the next.

OK a picture of our badges after we painted the sisters room, and then two of our 3 baptisms, and Vanessa the other baptism didnt wanna take a picture so I don't have a picture of her.  But the young man is 15 years

old, and his name is puchi, and he is awesome, his mom is member and his brother but we found him and asked him if he wanted to get baptized and he said yes so that was easy, and alvaro was not gonna get baptized ever with elder vazques but then when elder armijo got here i said hey lets go visit him, and they just clicked and he wanted elder armijo to baptize him so it was really good.  And those are all the people that got baptized and that were baptizing their cousins or something, president tyler and sister tyler came to the service and man they were all really happy with our work so that was good, I am excited today we are gonna go bowling, so we will see how that goes, pretty excited.  And sister come on girl you cant be telling me stuff like that, that your gonna go on a cruise, frist mom and dad in maui (Paradise) and now you in the bahamas ya whatever just leave me out from everything, haha jk, you are the one that is missin out.  jk.  love ya sis, thanks toads for the shout out, thanks pops for the email, keep studying, your doing a great job, hope that work isnt to stressful on ya.  tahnks mom for everything you do, and how come you are going to be in the offices from now on?  well it was another good week, everything is normal, hoping to have another baptism this week so we will see.

Happy Hump Day Elder Stauffer!!!

You have served one of the best two years of your life!! We love you!

Man what a crazy week, and like you can see, my new companion is my old companion again in San martin with him, ELDER ARMIJO, haha how crazy huh, my trainer and now we are comps again, that is awesome we were both pretty shocked to be comps again but we were excited.  But that is crazy about the tsunami, and yup it affected me too, we had to leave san martin, we had to pack a 72 hour kit and had to head to higher ground, and man that was crazy.  We had to go to the central zone.  So on friday we took a combi to central and on the free way a taxi started to swerve over because he wanted to get off the exit and man we slammed into him on the freeway, haha so that was an adventure but no one got hurt , the Lord protected his 14 elders in that combi.  Here they just get out and scream at each other for 15 min and then just get into the car and drive off, hha it is pretty funny.  And man during all of this I was feeling horrible, I had a fever for 3 days this week, man that was hard but now I am so thankful for my health.  Sometimes we forget all of our many blessings untill we lose them.  But i stayed in elder vasquez room so that was okay.  But we just visited all of lder armijos converts because he was there were elder vasquez is now.  So that was fun.  But then man on the way back we hopped on a bus all 14 of us elders and so man I was like dozing off on the bus taking advantage of the long trip and I hear this lady say to her little girl, whats wrong with you?  and the little girl throws up all over the ladies back that was sitting next to me, and the lady that was sitting next to me was a girly girl all dressed up to go to work man I felt so bad for her haha but I reacted fast when I heard it (like dad) and hopped up and only a little got on me.  But man all over the lady and so I got up and went to the back of the bus, and man for 2 hours the bus stunk

 so bad, wow ,  and what really got me is that the mom of the little girl didnt even say sorry for like 20 min, so that was pretty crazy but she finally said sorry.  And so what was nasty is then this young man got on the bus and sat down on that chair in his nice pants and man it was all over him too.  It was just a mess on a bus with about 75 people that they pack on the buses.  It was  just crazy.  THen we finally got to come back, all because of the tsunami, and then I really felt horrible because I didnt rest at all.  So everytime I am with elder armijo I get sick haha liek my third night in the mission.  Well we had 2 baptisms on saturday too, so that was success.  But they almost dawged out on us but we pulled it off, their mom was giving us all sorts of problems.  Well thanks for all of the pictures and hope that paytons b day was awesome, and yup one year this thursday, wow well just one more year and ill be home, cant believe it.  Keep up the good work, the pictures looked awesome as a family in front of the temple.  Love you all very much from your elder.  Elder stauffer.  Hoping to get my envelopes today.  hope you like my jersey I made ... 53 for pops...

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSE DEAR!

Hi fam I bet you all wanna know ho my b day went? It went just fine, just another day, as dad would say, haha we just worked.  In the morning we got up at 5 30 to go play futbol and then after we got done they had botten me a cake and then they smashed eggs on my head, so that was funny, and then we just worked. Had a really good day in the work so that was a good present , and then at night yes mom elder vasquez and I light my candles and ate our cupcakes. haha it is elder Vasquezs b day today.  But tomorrow I get a new companion, haha I dunno why me but I always get new companions haha which is okay with me... haha I am always up to have new companions, you always get way sick of each other haha but it was fun with him.  good guy.  But today we are going to go back and eat some cake with him, and then he is going to say good bye to everyone today in the afternoon which should be fun... haha but man I am getting old 20 that is crazy, I dont feel any older I still feel brand new in the mission but hey time to snap out of it, now the whole zone is changing and we have four elders that are going to be training so I am excited to just do what I do and be an example, everyone wrote me a little note for my b day saying that I was like Captain Moroni and if everyone was like me satan wouldnt have any power which is so far from true because I have alot to work on.  Hope that I can be a good example this change.  O ya and on my birthday we got permission for two kids that we are teaching so I was excited, Luis and Marlon, they are getting baptized this saturday so I am so excited for them  their mom was totally cool about it and is supporting them 100 percent, which is really rare.  Just wanna say thanks mom and dad for the boxes and all that you guys had in there for me.  Thanks Tia connie for sending me my package made my day, THanks for all of the support, sorry that I dont have alot of time to write, because now it is worse than ever, I dont have anytime, but just know that i am reading and

 loving everything from your family connie.  Thanks bros and sis´s for all of your support I love you and love hearing bout the fam and nephew and niece.  We had nine of our many investigators in church yesterday, man we are so blessed her in san martin we have so much success, and we have a ton of investigators, but just need permission from their parents.  Two girls almost got into a fight in church yesterday, two of our investigators haha but hey im in peru what do you expect.  but just wanna thank you for everything.  And man that is awesome that you all went and got my favorite hamburger. Thanks sister for the cookies, still taste delicioso , and mom if you could get them cut down that would be better, I dont wanna ask to much but if you could cut the sleevs like an inch that would be awesome, and if you could cut them down on the sides a little.  Dont worry if I have to lose weight to fit in them then ill do it, it will be something more that i can do while im here. hahah  thanks so much mama,  I am still working on the language, man some days are good but still some days are bad, Im defenantly not the best with the language but I can hold my own.  Yesterday A guy told me, you look latino but talk like a gringo, ahah i said cause i am a gringo. hahah well hope that everything just keeps going good, just know that I love you and that I will just keep working.  Hope that everything goes good with the contracts dad, i pray everynight for you.  Hope that Grandma keeps getting better, I pray for her too, tell her and grandpa that I love them very much.  Hope taht I didnt miiss any of you r questions, but 1 year is coming up whoo hoo.... elder stauffer  happy b day pay pay tell her i love her
